We asked what kind of support they provide to children of concern (children with developmental disability-like tendencies) during preschool events. A cluster analysis using Ward’s method resulted in three clusters of support. First, support in the form of caregivers accompanying the child; second, type was mainly motivational support, such as reducing the workload of activities for young children and incorporating their favorite activities to encourage them to engage in activities willingly; and third support was a combination of giving perspective to the activity and consideration for sensory oversensitivity in one cluster. The second was support that could be considered a reasonable accommodation, such as reducing the workload of the activities in which the child participates or selecting activities that are easier for the child to participate in.
