"現行の学習指導要領のもとで学びを進めてきた大学生が、小学家庭科、中学家庭科、高校家庭科を通して、家庭内で子どもを育てること（家庭保育）について、どのようなことを学んできたのかを調べた。家庭保育にかかわる内容としては「自分の家族や家庭生活」「現代の家族の特徴」「家族にかかわる法律や制度」「乳幼児の発達と保育」の4項目を設定し、それぞれに3から6の細目を設けた。質問紙調査の対象者は大学1年生103名であり、得られた有効回答数は85であった。\n調査の結果より、自分の家族や家庭生活については79％が、現代の家族の特徴は86％が、家族にかかわる法律や制度は62％が、乳幼児の発達と保育は81％が、学んだことがあると答えた。ただし、自分の家族や家庭生活に関する内容のうち、地域や近隣の人たちとの付き合い方を学んだと答えた者は少ない傾向にあった。また、現代の家族の特徴に関する内容のうち、父と母それぞれの家事や育児の負担と分担を学んだと答えた者は半数に満たなかった。このように、現代の家庭保育を考える上で重要な課題のいくつかは教育されていないか、もしくは十分な教育効果が得られていないことがうかがえた。",
