"本研究では、児童福祉施設併設特別支援学校に在籍する知的障害のある中学部生徒のキャリア力を育てることを目的に、生徒らが働く喜びを知り、自らの果たすべき役割の理解と働くことの意義を知るための授業実践に取り組んだ。役割を継続的に実行できれば、周囲から認められる機会が増え、働く喜びにつながると考え、このような経験の積み重ねで、キャリア力の裏付けとなる自己有用感を高めることを目指した。実践にあたっては、①「成果のイメージつくり→役割の実践→実践に対する自己評価→役割の価値理解」を「学習サイクル」として組み入れること、②グループでの活動を基本とすること、③自作「自己評価シート」を活用すること、さらに、④「グループの仲間のため」「見える他者のため」、「見えない他者のため」の3つの相手を設定して活動を設定することの4点から、授業を組み立てた。実践の結果、対象児らにグループの成員として質の高い仕事を成し遂げるため、自ら役割を果たそうとする行動が見られるようになり、併せて対象児らの自己評価から、その自己有用感が高まったことが確認された。",
