The wind record of AMeDAS since its beginning was used as data. The top 1/1000 strongest winds in each observation point were defined as a 'strong wind'. And as for the countrywide appearance of the strong wind, the influence of the surrounding topography was especially analyzed. Furthermore, on the basis of the extracted case day of the strong wind, the appearance of the strong wind accompanying a typhoon movement was analyzed. The results are as follows: 1)Local strong winds and local weak winds appear separately on the same day at distant places. A local strong wind group over a wide area appears with a large-scale strong wind like a typhoon and additional local factors. 2)Among the appearance factors of a strong wind are the wind direction and the topography. The position of a typhoon and the topographical direction cause strong winds to appear in remote places simultaneously. 3) At the leeward side of a mountain, air currents are let off, and strong winds called a downslope wind, such as Hirotokaze, Rokko-oroshi, or Hira-oroshi, will appear. 4) Also at the mountainsides, like a peninsula, air currents are let off and strong winds will appear. They are can-yon winds, like the ones in the Toyama Bay or the Tango Peninsula. 5)On the other hand, a weak wind zone is generated locally in the leeward of a big mountain range like the Hida mountain range. Strong winds appear before and after the weak winds appear. Moreover, next to the weak wind zones are strong wind zones. Under an atmospheric state with a big energy like a typhoon, remarkable strong winds appear separately in remote areas. It shows the necessity for analyzing local phenomena over wider areas., Article, 富山大学人間発達科学部紀要, 6巻2号, Page 149-163}, pages = {149--163}, title = {日本列島における強風の出現について}, volume = {6}, year = {2012} }
