第1枚(1 of 10)にLafcadio Hearn Tokyo， Japan. Dec. 20. 1902.とある。
2枚目(2 of 10)にKwairyo was edified by this announcement of good resolve ; and he said to the aruji: --とあり，kwaidanの中のRokuro-Kubiの一部分（Houghton Mifflin版のp.88, Large-Paper EditionのXI巻p.212）であるが，印刷されたものは，Kwairyo was pleased by this announcement of good resolve; and he said to the aruji:--とあり，字句が違う。
3枚目(3 of 10)にはheadless necks did not appear to have been cut--とあり，同じくRokurokubiの一部分（H. M.のp.90, L-P. E. のXI巻p.234-214）であり，これも印刷されたものでは，--the hedless necks did not look as if they had been cut.となっており，これらは草稿と思われる。
この3枚とも紙がしわだらけであって，一度捨てられたものかと思われる。, [2]. 10,11,12 とページづけのある3枚(4 of 10, 5 of 10, 6 of 10)はthe dream-eater Bakuのことを書いたものの断片であるが，Kottoの中のThe eater of dreamsとは違っている。
--"From the dream of an immortal personality, an indissoluble Self, an eternally unchanging Soul, deliver us, blessed Goblin! -- devour the hollow dream!
以上の文句に始まって，「進行をことにする我々の同胞をきらい，さげすみ，苦しめ，または裏切ることを教えるあらゆる教養の夢から我々を救え，ばく（獏）よ！黒い迷想をくらえ！というような「ばく」に対する祈りにつづいて，「もし『ばく』に会えるなら，そう願いをしたいけれども，今では「ばく」の画すら見出すことがむづかしい。
今神々の姿を消す時である。」と結んでいる。
Tokyo， Japan. Sept. 2， 1901. Lafcadio Hearnと署名してある。, [3]. 「21」とページづけのある1枚(7 of 10)の始めは，
What kind of comb would have been results? And their hairpins -- their ornaments? -- their sandals, or whatever else they had on?--
という文句に始まって，
「それともTs'ingは彼女の着物からただ抜け出て，せみの抜けがらのように着物を地上に残したのであろうか？そのテキストのどれも着物のことは何も書いてないから，御返事できない。しかしその題目は仏教の立場から見て全くの筋違いだ。教義的にみて問題となりうることは，あなたがTs'ingの人物をこんな風にいわれるだろうと私が思う，そのことが問題だ。」で終っている。
"A Question in the Zen texts"の中の美少女TS'ingに関係があるのだろう。
「23」とページづけのある1枚(8 of 10)には「あなたに何の罪もないのにあなたに離縁状をつけて返すのは恥ずかしいことだ。あなたの希望についてあなたが何か立派な理由を話してくれるなら離縁状も書こう。さもないかぎりあなたを離縁できない，我が家の名誉にかかわるから。」という意味の英文が書いてある。
なお，「12」とページづけのある1枚(9 of 10)には大小二つの鐘のことが4行書いてある。
そのほか，「御束帯」「冠」「下重ね」などの日本語に英語で説明した鉛筆書きが見られる。
最後に残った1枚(10 of 10)にはThy trembling arum I pressedに始まる2節の詩が書いてある。, これらの原稿に裏書のあるもの(1 of 10, 2 of 10, 3 of 10, 7 of 10, 8 of 10, 10 of 10)は，いずれの文字も，表とは天地逆に書いてある。（PDFファイルは，裏書のあるもののみ，裏面を天地逆に作成した。）, 本体：139mm x 202mm

3 sheets out of the 10 are entitled as " The Story of Kwairyo" and are a fragment of "Rokurokubi" in " Kwaidan."
Other 3 sheets are a fragment concerning the dreameater Baku.
