、富山市大沢野地区における不吹堂の分布も、どちらもフェーン現象に伴う高温で強い南成分を持った風を対象としており、日本海に低気圧が存在することによって吹く強風を仮定して論じているが、実際のフェーン現象は、台風がトリガーとなって発生する強風であることも多い。富山県の中でも有数の伝統行事である、富山市八尾町の「おわら風の盆」の、厄を払う対象となっている「大風」も、開催時期の関係を考慮すると、低気圧性のフェーンよりもむしろ、台風によるフェーン現象による「大風」であると考えることができる。また、この行事は、田口(1941)の 風祭の一種とも考えられる。\n富山県の平野部の市街地では、フェーン現象によって大火事がたびたび発生しており、たとえば、1956年の台風12号による魚津大火は、死者を多数出し、市街地が全滅した大災害である（たとえば、読売新聞社、2006）。魚津市では後に、これを教訓に防火地域を設定し、火災に強い街づくりを進めている。\n本稿では、1981～2000年
