Introducing a flux functional on the interface, the mass conservation constraint is included in the variational formulation for the Navier-Stokes equations. Then we define a mass conservative finite element scheme based on the Eulerian approach for immiscible incompressible two-fluid flows by using the Lagrange multiplier technique.
