Under the assumption of the potential on a compact support, we show that the spectral solution can be continued analytically into the upper or lower spectral plane and result in triangular states at x = ± ∞. The trianqular factorization of the scattering matrix is studied generally and the inverse problems reduced to a \"principal\" type of Riemann-Hilbert problems.\nThe scattering data is given by the \"strongly\" triangular matrices for the scattering matrix.
