studied on the reduction of artificial dolomite from sea-water mangesia, we obtained following results. \n1) The effects of Si content and CaO/MgO in briquette on the yield of Mg show no difference between artificial and natural dolomite. \n2) Sufficient washing of sediment of Mg(OH)_2 is essential to get suitable raw materials for the thermal reduction of Mg. \n3) It is required to take off undissolved Mg(OH)_2 in briquette before reduction by preheating and dehydration. \n4) There are not so large differences between artificial and natural dolomite, so far as reduction rate and purity of Mg are concerned.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"},{"subitem_description":"マグネシウム製錬法として今日工業的に採用されているのは,l.G.法とDow法に大別される電解法と熱還元法である。\n熱還元法としては,MgOをCによって還元するHansging法,CaC_2によって還元するMurex法などが過去におこなわれたが,現在はPidgeonレトルトを使用して,ドロマイトをFe-Siで還元するPidgeon法だけがおこなわれている。\n熱還元法の主流であるPidgeon法は,1942年カナダにおいて年産5,OOOtの工場が建設され,アメリカにも導入された。\n我国においても,1957年栃木県小山市に古河マグネシウム株式会社が工場を建設し,増産を重ねて今日に至っている。\n一方,無尽蔵な海水中に約50mg
