 note = {The present investigation was carried out to flnd the fundamental characteristic property of the foam tower. The result obtained are given in the following summary. (a). The classificat ion of the foam tower were establi shed， --batch and continuous types, parallel flow and counter flow, single nozzle and porous filiter, liguid layer. (b). Liguid holdup, pressure drops of the foam layer and bubble size were studied., 泡沫塔は塔内の下部にいれられた起泡性溶液を送気法によって吹きこまれたガスによって泡立たせて泡沫層を塔内につくったものである。
泡沫塔に関する考え方はいまだ充分に確立されていないが，著者は上述のように定義して従米から研究されているこの種のものを気液の吸排方法，ガスの吹き込み部分の機構およびノズル上の液相の有無によって本稿中の表-1のように分類した。
表において起泡性溶液の一定量があらかじめ塔内にいれられているか，連続的に塔に供給されるかによって回分式および連続式にわけ，気液の流動方向によって並流方式と向流方式とした。
泡沫塔についての研究および応用については表に示す通りであるが，塔の特性ことに泡沫層の性質については充分知られていないので，連続式の塔を対象にして基礎的の考察をおこなった。, Article, 富山大学工学部紀要，13(1/2)},
