 note = {We hava attempted to prepare a symmetrical acetylene glycol having an aromatic radicals. Benzophenone has been used at first. The mixture of CaC_2 powder, Kaustic kali benzophenone and organic solvent boing at 70--140℃ has been heated in an oil bath, with stirring, for 5--20 hours. The reaction mass has been hydrolysed, filtered, distilled and finally the residual product has been recrystallised from ethylether. The white crystal Substance has been melted at 189.5--91℃. The yeild was 37% of the theoretical amount., 対称型アセチレングライコール類の合成法として著者は既に数種の脂肪族カルボニル体を用い，これ等とカルシュウムカーバイド未と苛性カリを適当な有機溶剤中で加熱反応せしめて予期の如きジオール類を製成単離し報告してきたが本報では芳香核をもつカルボニル化合物としてベンゾフェノンを選びこれより芳香族基をもつアセチレンジオールの合成を試みた。
従前と異なり今回は比較的高温にて反応を行い予期されし物質1.1.4.4-テトラフェニル-ブチン-1.4ジオール（m.p.189.5～91℃）を合成し且つ若干の知見もえた。
なおアルキル-アリルケトンとしてアセトフェノンを用い反応せしめm.p.167～8℃の白色結晶体を得ているが本品は元素分析値からも予想されるものと異なるようであり正体は検討中である故これに関する実験例等は本稿では割愛した。, Article, 富山大学工学部紀要，12(1/2)},
