The artificial cùal property is determined by the cmlification temperature, the coalification index and the coalification velocity index. The Iast factor is more serious but hitherto is not so much considered.\n2. Using Uodu Submerged Forest Wood, under the coalification index 0.69, the fuel ratio of the artificial coal increases with coalification velocity index increase.\n3. Though coalification index comparatively being low, the coalificatiün reaction is accelerated extremely by greater increase of the coalificatiün velocity index.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"},{"subitem_description":"石炭の生成に関しては多くの説があり,古くはH. Potoniéの説からF. Fischerのリグニン説F. Bergius及びR. V. Wheelerに依るセルローズ説,J. Marccussonに依るオキシセルローズ説等があり未だに定説がない。又石炭は過去の植物質が極めて長時間に渡たり,石炭化作用を受けて生成した事は明らかであるが,炭化初期生成物のフミン質等が植物構成物質の何れから誘導されたかに幾多の疑問を残している。本邦でも京大,舟阪教授等に依り石炭の成因,粘結性に就いて多くの研究がなされた。著者は泥炭化以前の研究試料として好適である魚津埋没林杉材を用い其の組成,同種現存樹杉材と忠われるボカ杉との組成比較,炭化程度を調べ,叉F.
