の頭文字である。「生を終える決断」とでもいうことか。患者が死にいたるまえに、医師が患者の死を決断することである。\nこのELD は３つに分けられる。\n・生を維持する可能性がある治療、たとえば、人工換気、栄養チューブ、血液透析、心肺蘇生を差し控えたり、停止する決断。\n・苦痛や他の症状を緩和する決断、たとえば、オピオイド、ベンゾジアセピン、バルビツール酸塩などを多量に投与する決定。その結果副作用として死を十分に早めることが確実ないし、想定される。\n・安楽死、あるいは医師による自殺幇助を遂行する決断、すなわち患者の明白な願いで致死薬を投与、処方、供給する決断。\n通常、上から「延命治療の停止」、「緩和医療（死）」、「安楽死」とよばれ、区分されているものである。いずれも、「生かすための術を学んできた」医師が、患者が死に至ることを何らかの程度において予見しうる行為を決断することである。しかし、それぞれの決断に対して、それが伴う死の予見の度合いに応じて、異なった価値評価が与えられている。\nしたがって、終末期医療の現場において、どのくらい、いかように、生を終える決断が医療者によってなされているのかを調査することは、終末期医療の改善のために必要な基礎的作業といえる。ところがこの調査の正確性を期すことは難しい。それは、現状の法制度では認められていない行為を誰かが為している場合、その人がみずから進んでその行為を申告するかどうかはきわめて疑問だからである。そこで、安楽死法を定めたオランダやベルギーなどのヨーロッパでは、この調査がどのように行われているのかを調べ、その調査の結果から見えてくるものを考察する。","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_3_description_40":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ(DSpace)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"Article","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_3_description_6":{"attribute_name":"引用","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"研究紀要
