The items in the draft to measure the workplace adaptability were created by using the conceptual framework of existing literature and nurses' experience. The focus group consisted of 700 nurses working at general hospitals with over 300 beds. The result of the factor analysis was a scale that had 20 items and was constituted by four factors: \"work autonomy,\" \"relationship with superiors,\" \"workplace atmosphere,\" and \"acceptability of the environment.\" The content validity, distribution, deviation of replies, discriminant validity, criterion-related validity, and reliability of the scale were confirmed.
