The aim of this study was to examine sex function disorder and the sexual life satisfaction of male ostomates and their spouse.
SUBJECTS
The subjects were 33 couples including a male ostomate 70 years old or less, who live in T and N prefectures.
METHOD
Period since marriage, period since ostomy, sexual dysfunction, and satisfaction with sex life in the pre / post operation periods were analyzed and evaluated by a mailed questionnaire.
RESULT
Sex function disorders of male ostomates occurred with high probability. Male estimates and spouses were not satisfied with the preoperative explanation about sex function disorder.
The degree of sex life satisfaction of male ostomates and spouses were lower in the postoperation re period than in the preoperation re period. Unlike their male partners, spouses did not require treatment for sexual dysfunction.
CONCLUSION
This study indicates that spouses were less dissatisfied with their sex lives than male ostomates postoperatively, and also that spouses did not expect practical treat went.
The importance of support from the medical side in future is strongly indicated.., 本研究では，男性オストメイトの性機能障害の実態と夫婦の性生活満足度を知ることを目的に，T・N県オストメイト協会の70歳未満の男性オストメイト会員とその妻を対象に質問紙調査を行った．質問内容は術前の性機能障害に対するインフォームド・コンセントの有無と満足度，術後の性機能障害の有無，術前術後の男性オストメイト及びその妻が考える配偶者の性生活満足度，実際の性生活満足度，性機能障害の治療の有無と希望する治療などである．解析は平均値・標準偏差は記述統計を，性生活満足度は共分散分析を行った．その結果，研究に同意が得られた男性オストメイトは52名で，そのうち夫婦ペアが確認できたのは33組であった．アンケートから以下のような結果が得られた．１）．男性オストメイト33名中31名に何らかの性機能障害が起こっていた．２）．男性オストメイトと妻は性機能障害についての術前のインフォームド・コンセントに満足していなかった．３）．男性オストメイトと妻の性生活満足度は手術前に比べ，手術後は有意に低下していた（p＜0.01）．４）．手術後男性オストメイトは，妻と比べて配偶者の性生活満足度を有意に低く考えていた（p＜0.05）．５）．男性オストメイトと妻が希望する性機能障害の治療方法には差があり，妻は性機能障害に対する治療を求めていなかった．
