As results of analyses based on the analysing method of narrative resarch, the words that nurses listened were classified 11 categories as follows: awareness to die soon, resignation, looking back upon their own lives, repentance about their family relations, uneasy feelings about leaving family, gratitude, physical and spiritual pain, desire on how to die, the world after death, request to visit ancestors' graves, and prayer to God. The words that patients' families listened were classified into 9 categories as follows : uneasy feelings about leaving family, love for their spouses, gratitude, encouragement to family, physical and spiritual pain, resignation, anger, the world after death, and contact with nature. From the results, it was clarified that words of dying patients include important messages or their wishes. Regarding supports to them, first, nurses must understand the importance of their words and they must lead their families to pay attention to their words.
