The subject of this study were 42 outpatients who came to the orthopedic department. The results of this study were as follows; 1) As for the motives of consulting a doctor, symptoms and hospital environment were important. 2) The CHLC point in the married group was higher than the unmarried group significantly. 3) The CHLC point rose with age. 4) The decision making factors of virtual-premise, value-premise, disturbance degree, desires in ADL showed a significant positive correlation. 5) As for decision making factors based on diseased parts, waist and legs showed high points. 6) The PHLC point rose as the point of virtual-premise rose. And the FHLC point decreased as the point of value-premise rose.
