The subjects of this study were 10 mastectomy outpatients. The data was collected through semi-structured interviews that included questions about instrumental and emotional social support. Results of this study were as follows : 1. The mastectomy outpatients received instrumental and emotional support from their husbands, their children, their family, their friends, the other mastectomy patients, doctors and nurses. 2. The main support members of the mastectomy outpatients were their relatives, especially, their husbands'. 3. For the mastectomy outpatients, the other mastectomy patients' support was very valuable. 4. The kind of support was influenced by the relationship between the patient and sup porter., Article},
