This study aimed to design a system for teacher training in which included collaboration and communication between an elementary school and a university. The university students (aimed to be teachers) understood the needs in schools and to explored better methods for conducting physical education classes with elementary school teacher. Additionally, it aimed to examine the educational effects of the program through elementary school students’ sport competence, formative evaluation, and reports from university students and an elementary school teacher. The results revealed that, concerning elementary school students’ “perception of sports competence level” (e.g., “I can do physical activities well,” “I have confidence in my physical abilities”and “total score” ) increased significantly after the prellball class. With reference to formative evaluations, both “motivation/interest” and “cooperation” were high, and all dimensions reached their highest score in the final class of the prellball class. The university students felt close to their elementary students, explored materials and the teachers’ methods, and embraced the desire to become teachers and try out these new techniques. The elementary school teachers were able to share elementary students’ struggles and successes with the class using the videos provided by university students, and elementary students’ used this understanding to improve their prellball skills.
