万人とも200 万人(NHKクローズアープ現代「”消費される”若者たち ~格差社会の新たな現実」では161 万人)とも言われているが,正確にはわからない。ただし「個人請負」は,昔からあり,家政婦,助産師(婦)などがその典型だった。\n坂の論文では,「個人請負」の例として,建築技師や添乗員,生命保険の外務員,観光ガイドなどを対象に,聞き取り調査を行った。そこでは,「個人請負」の人が抱える最大の問題は,報酬の不払いと長時間労働,不安定な労働時間,そして法律(労働基準法,最低賃金法,労働関係法)が適用されない事があまり知られていないという事だった。\nアメリカでは,「個人請負」は,ホワイトカラー,特に高度専門職の働き方として,確立されている。「連邦労働省」によれば,人数は約2,550 万人,全雇用者の約21%を占める(2015
