This study also examined the causal relations between the latent variales that make up the fashion consciousness and the construct of the women's magazines. The five results obtained are as follows 1. Factor analysis on the fashion consciousness of the female fashion students extracted eight factors:"trend orientation,""sociality,""cosmetics,""spirit of challenge,""self realization orientation,""image makeover,""accessories," and "going to live concerts." 2. Based on the scores of the eight factors,the female students were classified into six clusters. 3. Factor analysis on the magazines extracted six factors: the"natural kei (style or type),"the"teenage gal kei,"the "mode kei(a style that takes in the latest designs from designer brands)",the"oneh(elder sister)kei"(a style that is the extension of young gal fashion)the "adultgal kei,"and the "street kei gosurori (Gothic Lolita)."
