One feature of the symposium was the use of stories told on\nvideo from the website. At the end of symposium, the participants were asked to complete a questionnaire so\nthat we could assess their reactions.\nWe received a total of 69 responses from 138 participants. The largest group of respondents comprised\nmedical workers (n=22), followed by people with dementia or their families (n=21), and then education\nworkers (n=8). In terms of overall impressions of the symposium, 97% of the responses were either “good” or\n“reasonably good.” Reasons given for the “good” evaluation included the sense of realism felt by viewing the\nvideos and hearing the people’s own voices, as well as explanations of real cases by specialists.
