Research on how to give sweets to children : how parents who encourage the formation of appropriate eating habits interact with their children

In order to shed light on methods of giving confectioneries and desirable state of discipline, in the present study, we conducted a questionnaire survey on university students and mothers of young children. As a result, it was ascertained that some of the mothers of young children give confectioneries to their children without worrying about time and quantity. Moreover, it was also confirmed that around 40% of parents give confectioneries to children when they get cranky. In addition, based on the survey conducted on university students, it was ascertained that students who were not intervened with regard to eating confectioneries during childhood tend to eat more confectioneries on daily basis as compared to students who were disciplined during childhood.
